I agree with ya silverzuk . Until they come up with a better way to enforce the size limit I will have a hound measured as well . You all can say that a 13 inch hound is just as tough as a 16 inch and I have seen several that are , But rules are rules.I don't agree with the speed limit on most highways either , but if you break it sooner or later you will get caught and there is no reason to get mad . (you knew the rules)

And yes I have owned very good hounds that were over 15 inches but I knew they would not measure in so they were not registered.

Well CPC no, and don't put words in my mouth. You're going to think what you want anyway. Just like I am. Simply, I don't care what you run. I'll be there and I'll run my hounds against yours.

Doing good Chris. Thanks for asking. I was down pretty hard for a while but after screws, metal rods, and fusing bones together, I've got a new back. Take care, and we'll see you down the road.

But you change the standard to 16 then you will be seeing dogs "just a little over that"
took the words outta my mouth

i was at the world hunt, eatin a steak dinner the night before i was running stretch in the semi finals,i knew the toughest dog he was running against the next day was a pretty good size hound but the owner was a hell of a guy and i have never measured a dog,but the thought crossed my mind so i asked a couple guys at the table what they would do and wow,son you talk about hittin a nerve, you would have thought i had cursed their mothers or something, then i sit back and thought of their hounds and how many posts i have seen on here talkin about the size of their hounds and realized why it was a touchy subject, and just laughed, and said obviously i was askin the wrong guys so let it drop,

the next day stretch was beat buy one check by the dog i was wondering about,

my point is this, rules are rules,15 in. is 15 in.,

what if i had measured him, stretch may have or may not have made the finals, maybe i should have measured him,he is no 16 or 17 in dog but definately a well built hound, the 1/4 in or 1/2 in may not have made him faster of better but what if???????

o well, you'll have that

Kinda surprising..... roughly 20% That is higher than I expected and those numbers are only from those on the internet. I think taken to the general public beaglers that number would increase.
