Looks like the weather is going to be much cooler next week with highs only in the 60's & 70's. Thanks goodness the trial wasn't this weekend. It's going to be 97 degrees tomorrow.

Had a GREAT time at this trial. Really exceeded my expectations as I really did not know what to truely expect. I will say of my three hounds 1 got picked up first series for no score, which I watched her and she did not contribute much for sure, 1 stayed down but did not get called back for second series, she did not do a whole lot either, 3 made it to second series and looked pretty good in 1st series, got picked up late in the second series after a couple end overruns and she is quite capable of doing that for sure.

I just have to say I met a lot of good sportsman and had a very, very nice trip and hope to make many more. Thanks to all who I picked there brains with questions! I thought the judging was accurate and I enjoyed the AKC format. IMO it is the gundog style of trial and I felt like I was out on a hunt with my hounds being evaluated. I really hope to enjoy some more trials. Thanks for putting on a super trial!!
