Congratulations to Mandy Bobbit for winning the 2005 Triple Challenge.
I had a great time.
Great people, good food, and for the most part good running and judging.
I do question how some dogs placed in the brace and in the 30 dog pack, but I do not want to go there.
I will reply to any privite messages.
Thanks go out to the National Beagle Club for putting on a great trial and dog show.

A big congratualtions to Mandy for a fine showing with Sand Mountain Sammy from her Bedlam pack. I look forward to the hopeful posting of winners pics etc on the results page. Just a huge thank you to all that work so hard to carry this terrific event forward. All involved plus the NBC deserve the thanks of beaglers everywhere.
Thank you.

Although all hounds have to be AKC or National Beagle Club Pack registered, I found it interesting that no hound that finished in the top 10 had AKC titles. The event was won by Mandy Bobbit with one of her pack members, Sand Mountain Sammy. (His pedigree is full of Gay breeding plus much of Mandy's Bedlam.) A quick look at the top 10 shows 2 pack bred hounds, 2 untitled AKC hounds (1 bred by a beagler that is a longtime supporter of ARHA Progressive Pack), and the rest are all either ARHA or UKC titled. There are 3 Branko hounds in the top 10 (Canada, Large pack on Hare bloodlines.) It is interesting to look at and at least in a limited way validates both the UKC and ARHA trial and bench show formats in contrast to the current situation in AKC. Thank you again for all that make the Triple such a great event.

Triple Challenge reserve champion UKC GRCH GRHBCH Sundown Black Bow has been to 1 AKC SPO hunt in NY and placed 4th. He has 2 ARHA PP hunts and recieved 2nd in both. He has a 7th and a 9th place in 3 ARHA little pack hunts.
There are not many AKC hunts close but I plan on traveling to see if he has what it takes. As you can see we are very pleased with Bow and although he just turned 3 I think he can obtain titles in other registries.
