Could anyone tell me how many points were awarded for Placing at the E.M.C.? I thought that it was 60 for 1st and so on down the line.... I'm hearing now that they're giving 70 points for first place dogs. When did this get voted on and changed? Thanks.

DEL AND I DSICUSSED THIS LAST YEAR AND MADE IT EFFECTIVE FOR 2005. THE REASON BEING FOR THE INCREASE WAS THE FACT THAT THE EVERETT MORGAN IS BIGGER THAN A REGIONAL BUT NOT AS BIG AS THE U.S.CHAMPIONSHIP.THE HOY POINTS ARE CLUB HUNT-1ST PLACE -20, STATE HUNT-1ST PLACE-40, REGIONAL HUNT-1ST PLACE-60, EVERETT MORGAN-1ST PLACE -70 AND THE U.S.-1ST PLACE-80.

So this change was in place before the beginning of this year then? The reason I'm asking is because I notice the points change on the dogs that placed just recently.

Not trying to cause any trouble, but I recalled this thread from after the EMC this year.
Doesn't sound to me like anything had been decided prior to this thread.

Some people thought it should be changed after the very large turnout.
Don't seem fair to the people running for HOY to change it after the fact for this year.

Thanks Rob - that's the discussion on this board that I was looking for.
But I did find out that they don't have to hold a vote to change points awarded for hunts.
And the rules change again........
