Todd or Terry Sudduth,
I didn't read the whole thread on the upcoming trials.
Fulton is really close to my hometown and I have a friend there. I would love to attend the trial in Fulton but I didn't see any exact dates.
If they are there, I apologize but if not, do you have the dates?

Brian, I joined the club Terry started and I am definitely planning to go to their first trial if at all possible. I had mentioned to Jason about meeting up somewhere along the way and riding together or atleast riding along together. Let's see what we can come up with (in terms of going as a group) closer to Mar. 4. If nothing else, I hope to see you ALL there!!!!!!!!!

I posted this on the UKC forum and didn't get an answer yet, so I thought I woudl try here.
Ok I'm new to this and thinking of starting to go to some trials. What style of dog is this format based on. My dogs for the most part are med. fast to fast, will over run the check area up to 10' but return to the point of loss pick it up and off they go. When I purchased these dogs were bread for ARHA LP style. Is this format suitable for my dogs? If so I was thinking of gonig the one up neer West Lofeete(SP) Ohio. What all will I need to bring.
Thanks
~Fred

Well that will be up to the judge, but if the dog countiue to pull the dogs and disrupe the pack I would bet they get pick up. If another dog could keep this from happing if he is not as fast and keep cutting the faster dogs. It will just depend on the dog and the day. Just my opionion. (which doesn't count from much LOL)

You will be welcomeed to run in our hunt. Bring UKC papers or prepared to regs. UKC at the hunt. There will be some one to assist you on grounds just make it known before entry`s close you need help. The only way that you will know for sure your dogs can and will compete in this new format is to enter them. Most of the dogs entered will be from H.andH. UKC or ARHA L.P. breeding. A few ARHA PP dogs and AKC SPO dogs. they will come from all back grounds and some will not fit the format. Others will win in it one week and be picked up the next. The main thing is to have fun. This is a real great point and a good thing to remember for handllers and judges. Every dog has his day.
Judge the dog on
that day!! Not on any past day or on its pedigree (many times a dog is picked up before it it even hits the ground)
Don't take it too serious and have a good time
