Did they get the hunt over today? I thought they were scheduled to go through tomorrow. Did they not have a big turnout and does anybody have the results?

Gabe there was 43 opens 15 champs and 10 grands
Kevin won the opens of course and jeff chastien got 2nd with tom i got fourth with conway that is all of the opens that i know.spencer boys won the champs and ron eades got seconed.jody harris won the grands with val and mr.peters got seconed with buck.maybe somebody else can fill in all the other places congrats to all that placed

I thought you might show up. The hunt finished in a day and was run very well by Kevin Hall, Ron Eades, and a few others.

I think I was happiest for Jody Harris and Val. Val is the best overall dog I have seen. I handled him in the first round and with a minute to go he jumped a rabbit to win it.

Jody had Val in early retirement until a wise houndsman said why don't you just bring him along. Ole Val brought home the gold!


I don't know if this was true or not but I heard some Illinois folks say that Brewer, Cordell, and Kildow were fearing the power that was there and that is why they stayed home. I did not believe one word of it.

First the In. state with Lacey now Ill. state with Bach. Good job guys

Perhaps i should rephrase my above post when i said of course kevin won the opens i meant that because that was the topic of this post and anybody that read it would have known that but i will say this if you think there were no free rides you are wrong i have made my last trip to vandalia and congrats to again to kevin daisy did a fine job in the FINALS...

You all need to come to monroe city on october 18 and 19. Were planning on haveing a good size hunt.I know there will be some guys from IL,IN,and MO,so it will give everybody all summer to get their hounds ready and see who is the best of the best.I think i want to take you up on that 1 on 1 run COLE vs GOBER.What do you think chad?????

Thanks for the compliments on Daisy. My nephew handled her all day. I did get to watch the semifinal, and the final. They caught the only rabbit they ran in the final. The semifinal was nearly as good. It ended and the pack was still pounding. I caught Daisy right after she caught the last rabbit they ran. I don`t know Mark, I would rather have a dog that runs the rabbit than one who runs outside the pack trying to cut the dogs to keep up. To each is own. I see you got First in champions, and Second in Grands last year at our state hunt. Then it was, "this is the best club...", This year you get 4th in opens, and 8th in grands and I get a free ride. I don`t see you have much to cry about. Alot of people went home empty handed and are not on here crying. Get over it.
Thanks again to all that came. I would like to go to the IL state Hunt next year at another club. If any one else can have it at there club its all yours. A year off would be nice.
