Patch Hounds in trials

Post by Joe H »

Is anyone running patch hounds in SPO or other trials and if so are they placing or winning?

I seriously doubt you will see any Patch hounds running in SPO, except in maybe the Mid-West association. Definately not in UBGF, Deep South, etc. Most Patch bred hounds are run-to-catch type dogs, fast speed in other words. They would usually only be seen running in the faster type trials such as ARHA Little Pack and AKC Mid-West or LP on hare. I know of several Patch bred hounds that have done very well in ARHA Little Pack trials.
