Re: dog seizures
Have you seen a pattern or potential trigger for the seizures? Does it happen when you walk up or at a particular time of day or when the beagle is exerting itself (etc.)? Have you made any changes in medications, wormers, feed, feed pans, or water bowl? Also, could the dog have received a head injury? If it is Epilepsy, medication is likely the only thing that will decrease the occurence of the seizures. However, I would rule out the environmental causes first. Best wishes!

Re: dog seizures
Take your dog to the vet and have a blood work up if there is a blood infection or a brain infection or spinal infection this will bring on seizures.

Re: dog seizures
None of those things seem out of order. TC (or JC?) is probably right a blood test might be a good idea to determine if some sort of infection caused the seizure. If so, that should be an easy fix. Some beagles have an out of the blue seizure and never have another. Some have them quite frequently with seemingly no effect on their long time, general health. I recall an incident last summer when I was running with several other guys. We had about a dozen beagles running and it was getting hot late in the morning. We caught all but five when a fresh rabbit was jumped and they ran the heck out of it. It took us 30 minutes to catch the rest of them. I grabbed my five year old male after yelling for him to "down". I don't know if it was the heat, the excitement, his frustration of being pulled from a hot race, or what but his eyes rolled back and his legs went straight like he was going into a seizure. Realizing what was about to happen, I laid him down gently in an empty compartment of on of the dog boxes and tried to keep him calm. He relaxed, came to very quickly, drank a little water, and seemed like it never happened. To the best of my knowledge, he had never had a seizure before and has never had one since. Best wishes.

Re: dog seizures
Some flea and tic repelant can cause seizures, but I would defenatly take one to the vet and have blood work done to see if it is some sort of infection. With two having seizures I would think there is an environmental issue, pesticide, or some thing causing this.

A tick in the right place can cause this too!
