Tony, I am not Liberal... I just hate to think that our country has become so bad that people "like you" would not allow your children to watch the President of the United States. I just hate to think that you are so party blind that you cant give credit when it is do. I just hate to think that you really believe that the President is communist. We dont have to agree on everything and I dont always agree with what Obama is doing, but I will not ever call him communist, he is our President.

Here is a clue...EVERYONE wants EVERYONE to have health care...its HEALTH CARE COVERAGE thats at issue...I for one do NOT want to be forced to pay MORE than I already do for others healthcare coverage. I pay enough in taxes and insurance premiums NOW that go to cover the uninsured, I dont want to pay for a national health care insurance plan which will lessen the quality of care and the speed and efficiency of the care I can get now....BECAUSE I PAY FOR IT. I would rather see this libtarded administration focus on REAL jobs, not made up government programs, but lessening the burdens on companies so THEY, the companies (you know, the ones that actually produce SOMETHING) can expand and thrive, thereby creating jobs for the PRIVATE SECTOR, not government. Once companies are able to create jobs, then they can begin to offer insurance to the workers...liberals dont want this as then the only ones who dont have so called healthcare are the ones too sorry to work and sit around looking for someone like government to take care of them...I also dont want illegals covered any more than they already are by welfare...geesh you guys want the producers in this country to go broke paying for deadbeats....

Tony this is the way that I look at it. I pay alot in taxes and instead of illegals and the noninsured receiving all of the benefits I would like for my family to get what I am paying for. If this means that I have to pay 100 extra dollars in taxes each month to save 550 a month on premiums than that is just smart business. You state that the health benefits would go down, then tell me why that France and our neighbors to the north have longer life spans than we do. Also as a national debt we pay out 17% of what we take in on taxes to go to health care for the noninsured or underinsured, compair that figure to France and Canada with a 9% and 11% then add on the premiums that we are paying and see the true amount of money that is being spent.
One more thing before you come back with this "death panel" at end of life spill, you should know that this was in a bill in 2003 supported by the GOP with the Iowa rep pushing for it and it was voted on by 43 members of the conservative party and shot down by the Democratic party. That is right this health care bill "death panel" in front of us has the same remarks made by the conservative party in 2003 as it does today. It is all party politics and until we see past the parties and the true meaning of the bills, we will gain nothing.

Sounds like to me its okay to have the government owned projects that benefit you but the ones that do not you want to complain about. I will begin by saying I don't think you guys are getting what bluegrass is saying, he may be strong in his language but the point is our freedom, our capitalist form of government, our ability to choose, our pursuit of the american dream are in danger of disappearing. Like myself Bluegrass is a conservative (I believe) that believes in small government, less taxes, the private sector and each branch of government having it's place from your local to state to the federal government.

Old blood I would like a link or article name so I can see those healthcare numbers because there are numerous factors to consider in figuring life expectancy. I would also like the name of the death panel bill the conservatives where pushing so I can read it.
I believe we need healthcare reform but I believe we should reform the current system thru regulation and oversight not create a new one. Did you hear any numbers from any studies this administration has done on the cost savings projected, I didn't!!!
Here's some ideas, how much are hospitals and doctors paying in malpractice lawsuits and insurance, how much does research and developement of medicine cost, how much does medical equipment cost, how much does medical staff cost and so on. Lets find some answer to the current system problems before we just turn our healthcare over to the government.
If the public option or government option whatever you call it passes there will be NO reform on the current system, just the government getting more control over the private sector.
