MaineSnowshoehunter= just a note ....I had problems with my small dogs and the DC30 collars being to big. I fixed the problem by taking foam pipe insulation and wrapping around the antenna side of the collar. I then wrapped the insulation with electrical tape. This took up enough space inside the collar for a snug fit on the dog. Also, I used different color tape on each collar which help me identify each collar. It adds very little weight and has been on the collars now for two years. I'm sure the same fix would work with the Alpha Collar System. I hope this helps......Good Day

There is a long part on the collar that can be scrunched up if needed. I only have one collar and I use it on my very large cur mix and then on my beagle as well. there are 18 different levels of correction. The beagle gets about a 2, the cur gets about 8 unless he is on a hog I have to turn it up to get him to break off the ear..

I have had to correct the beagle about three times and she now stops when she hears the "tone". The cur can be running a hog wide open and hear the tone and he breaks off of the trail now.. It didnt take either of them long to lear what was coming after the beep... I keep the collar by my kennel and at night if they are barking and such I can tone it and they stop.. lol
That would probably work but it's a lot easier to just drill the rivet furthest from the buckle out....then snip the excess flap of collar material from the inside....then you have a collar that closes at least another inch. I've got one 12"ish female that I had to do it on...the 15's weren't a problem but the rabbit sized dog had a bit too much collar.
