Looks like someone had some fun today. Love to see the kids involved in the great outdoors. Cant wait till the weather breaks a little, I could ask my little one to go out in low to mid teen temps. I noticed a little glimmer on the grass, how much ice did yall get. Probably a lil less than and inch here but it sure does make for a mess of things. I'll take some snow (within a reasonable amount) anyday. Should warm a little Sunday and hopefully I'll get a few hours to run. Oh well, enough rambling, glad you guys had fun and wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

I wish mine were old enough to shoot guns... I guess in time, I will be able to take some pictures like that. Congrats!

Yea Darrin them boy's have been in the woods when they were 3 yrs old, that's the way i started and they will pass it onto there kids. They sure do love any type of hunting and there getting pretty competitive for ol pap's.
My oldest took a nice 10 pointer and put it on me, the biggest i got is a 9 and he lets everyone know he took the biggest.ha

Give it time Emery, it won't be long before you will have the little one tagging along and let me tell you up front though, once they get there first rabbit they are hooked forever. I started playing games with mine that a friend passed onto me, and it goes like this. You carry what i shoot and i'll carry what you shoot and let me tell you they become alot better shot's and they don't carry many of my rabbit's but i have carried a few for them. But don't tell everyone, it kinda makes old dad look bad.LoL

SmokeEater my youngest in the pic is using that 870 express 20 ga and he love's it and won't hunt with nothing else.He showed how goo he is this year on our dove hunt he limited out first on his brother and i.

I love to see the kids in the field. Congtratulation on getting them started while they are young. I have a 12 year old that has been hunting with me for the past 3 years. He is a lot of fun to hunt with. He teaches me something that I didn't know every time out!(LOL) The "you carry mine, I'll carry yours" sounds like a good game. I know I'll get the short end of that stick. Good luck.

pete try the game with your son and watch how much better he will get. my boy's shots got better over nite, and you don't have to by as much ammo. lol

But that is what it is all about, teaching these children about the sport of hunting and making it for them to enjoy. You have to make it interesting to them and besides they are our future leaders of our country and they will have alot to say at the polls also when it comes to gun control, and it keeps them from getting into other bad things which lead to trouble in both of our lifes.

All we must do is plant that first seed and nerture it and it will grow to produce new seed, that is why i hunt today, because of my father and grandfather. they planted the seed to grow.

Them boys will remember these days the rest of their days as I am sure you will as well ;) Love seeing young folks enjoy the outdoors and get to know mother nature. What an awesome thing she is. You all have a safe season.

Take Care,
Randy
