I have ran/owned alot of the moon dogs before I switched to pp type dogs.

Most that I have are very hard hitting, hard hunting dogs with big coon dog mouths.

Dave,
Thanks for the reply, and I would love to see your Moon dog!!! I owned and started Moon as a pup. That's where he got his name, Shiawassee Bottom. I sold him to Bob, as I had delt with Bob on several other dogs, and knew he liked the Paycheck line.
I bought a female off Bob last fall out of Moon. One of his last litters. So far I really like her!! I have run her hard lately, and she's getting better. I was just wondering what else was out there out of him. I'll send you a pm. Maybe we can get together for a run.

Robert,
I wish I would have been able to run with some of your Moon dogs. Do you know where they are now?

Yeah I know where there all at.

A couple have been killed buy cars etc.

But there are a couple nice females I had that are still around here.

I had good luck crossing that stuff up with that Duce dog I had.

If you liked hard hitting big males that was a good mix.

Duce is owned buy a buddy of mine ( Mike Popour) he lives in Canton.

If you ever want to Run with him just let me know I'll give you his number.

Sir I owned a Black and Ta nmale named Blue Sly Ace of Spades now owned by John Davis. He was out of Moon and McCutcheon's Eastview Belle. He is a Grand on Bench and has I think four wins in Champ class. When I purchasd him he was trialed a little and since then he was not trialed at all till John got him from Ferrell Smith which purchasd him from me. He is a med. fast to fast, hard hunt for a male, and can flat pound a rabbit. If he lacks anything it would be a snow nose, but he won some of his trials on snow down here in Indiana. He is probably only around 5 now maybe coming 6 and he is the real deal, and as straight as the ycould come as far as trash. Even had trouble getting him to run a tame rabbit. You can contact John I think he even at first had trouble getting him to run a hare at first I guess he never had ran one before or maybe didn't have the nose to run one. He could tell you more he is a heck of a nice guy and from my talking experoences with him will tell you the real deal.

Thanks Ken Asbury
