I had the same thing happen to me once. I was rabbit hunting with a buddy and his hounds out of that old NY breed of beemers Itchy Bawls. I had a female in there that was bread to that male at the time. It was well below zero and they were in real thick cover with about waist deep snow. I rabbits had these trails deep into the thorn cover and had it packed almost down to the ground in many places... I could only hear the hounds running.. so I kept moving around and didn't notice my brush chaps were warn right through!!!!!!!! next thing I know I was looking at my buddy with that exact same bassett look you discribed.... :( I was so embaresede and never lived it down..... When my hound had her pups my buddy got pick of the litter and her named it ........... Frosty Bawly..... .......  Lmao seriously man alive My wife was reading this thread to me and I about wet my self...   I am sorry and do really feel bad for the hound  But oh my god    lmao   I couldn't resist getting caught up in this one  You can bet your knitteed ball bags I will always bring my own chap stick from now on!!  Sorry about the bogus story go easy on me!! Too funny to let this one go by :!:
