Thanks guys for all the congrats... I have a sh!t eating grin on my face that ain't about to come off for a long time. Petey, you're right it's about dang blue time... 12 years of 15 to 20 trials a year and several thousands of miles on three different vehicles and tons of money as well. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world and can't find anything else I'd rather be spending money on. Needless to say I love it. I can remember when Speck was first starting... One of my fondest memories is running her on snow for the first time. There was 6 to 8 inches on my buddies place... first rabbit she ran for an hour and half at 12 months old with 5 second checks. That day I was calling my buddies telling them how I'd finish her someday like they had their hounds. Just took me a tad longer than I expected, but hey good things come to those who wait.

Ole Speck got a kiss on the head and part of my sirloin Friday night. Someone asked on one of these message boards what it took to finish a champion.

Lots of running, lots of patience, taking your losses with a grain of salt, having them in shape, lots of prayers, a little bit of luck, and plenty of wonderful friends to encourage you to keep at it, when you think there's little hope left.

Rabbit season will soon be upon us and I look forward to gunning the heck out of her and come spring popping out a few more "special" little red & blue dogs.

Thanks again guys for all the well wishes. The year ain't over yet, I'm sure I'll see plenty of you at the forthcoming trials. You guys are bunch of wonderful fellows.

Congratulations Jamie!!!!!!!

I finished my first one in March. It's great to finally get it done, but I've sure hated loading up this season for trials knowing my best one is staying at the house, but probably not as bad as he hates it. LOL
