Ed,I think you earn AKC points, but you must be a club member to get Midwest pointsfor HOY and runoff.

You do not have to be a member of a club to obtain AKC points. The hound does have to be AKC registered.

Thanks for the info guys. It would seem a little odd to not give credit where credit is due. It's nice to know you don't have to be a member of a club to get credit for your hound to become a FC. That's the bottom line IMHO. I have seen some good judging in the midwest. :approve:

What order do you run the dogs in? 13" males and females on Saturday then the 15" males and females on Sunday? Or is it all on day?

ok guys here it is.

October 11th will be 15" males and 13" males
15" male judges will be Brad Johnson and Bryan Johnson
13" male judges will be Merritt Roberson and Andy Jones

October 12th will be 15" bitch and 13" bitch
15" bitch judges will be Joe Clark and Glen Townsend
13" bitch judges will be Steve Bailey and Roy Noe

We might switch orders to run both big classes on Saturday and both little ones on Sunday. We have a club meeting tonight and will vote on this.
I think it would be a good idea so that guys don't have to stay both days if they run both big or both little classes. Everyone knows how good the running is down there, so I will not elabirate on it. We will have good food, good grounds, good judges, and a great time. I hope everyone can make it. We will post more later.

Thats the same weekend South Kentucky has theirs. It would be nice if big classes was switched that away people could hit two in one weekend.

There was a UGBF club within 100 miles and the only way we could get them to sign off on it was to keep it the way we have it. We have alot of club members and are expecting a big turn out for the big males. If South can change theirs so be it, but we can't. Considering this is our 1st trial we also don't want our biggest class to run on sunday and possibly not get finished and run over into monday. Don't get me wrong, we have Plenty of running grounds and rabbits, but maybe next year we can. We really didn't want to hold it on the same weekend, but you have to remember that Southern Indiana holds some of the biggest trials and we had to schedule around that. Also when gun season comes in you can't hold a trial.
