couple nites ago , had a pretty brave coyote kind of traumatize a beagle pup-
didnt hurt him but spooked him-- -
hunting coyotes with beagles just proves the old saying--
not the size of the dog in the fight ,its the size of the fight in the dog
when coyotes first came around here-
i didnt know anybody local that hunted them with hounds- sorta started from scratch -- gathered up some dogs that really didnt have it in them
was a few years before did any good at all
i had a couple pretty good fox hounds i tried on coyotes -one at a time.
--coyotes scared em bad--
took me a few years to find foxhounds (coyote dogs) with enough grit for coyote- coyotes that never been chased may not even run from a dog- ive had them harass my beagles and even bother beardogs -never too serious but a real pain -
-had some real quick bayups when we first got some decent dogs
we didnt catch them--exactly-- lol the coyotes just didnt run- --
after 20 years of being run with hounds around here- they behave better , dont have near as much problem with them bothering beagles- so anyways ,, keep up the good work
