I dont want to thread hijack so if you would like post this as a new topic and we will all tell you what we know but long story short yes it is a line bred line. Dogs that have been bred from previous patch bred hounds will have patch somewhere in there name. Willet Randall originated the line. They were orignally hare hounds. They had been selectively line bred with very few outcrosses in early years, If you make this a new topic there is quite a few that have had this line for many years that can inform you and i will try to pass along the info i have as well but i have only been researching this line the past few years and currently have my first patch female that i bought when i converted to this line. You will not see a lot of hot of the market trial names in there pedigrees but most guys with the patch line can tell you everything about the dogs in the pedigree as this is a close group breeders. I have never been happier with a dog as i am with this pup and I am currently in the market for another due to what ive seen out of this line.

I was looking at the beagles for sale about a year ago Alpine kennels had 4 females listed there as linebred gay dogs forsale right under his ad was the guy that sold him the dogs and he said quote THESE DOGS ALPINE HAS LISTED ARE NOT GAY HOUNDS I SOLD THESE TO MR ADAMS 3 DAYS AGO AS GRADE DOGS I RAISED THEM HERE AND THEY HAVE NEVER AND ARE NOT AKC REG/ Mr Adams took them off and immedately took them off his site.

Sounds like AKC needs to hit his kennel hard for dna test.

When I was checking out Alpine Kennels for someone in Canada I got this email from a friend.

I got some dogs from alpine kennels about two years ago. I got a paper yesterday from AKC saying a parentage verification analysis of AKC DNA Certifications from the registered sire and one or more members of litter HP266142 was conducted. We regret to inform you that the dna results indicate that this member is excluded to (cannot be the offspring of) the registered sire. My dog has died in the mean time so can't conduct dna but Tell everyone to be very warry of ALPINE KENNELS. I talked to a friend of mine and wanted me to post it on here but my account hasn't been activated yet. Thanks

I know this was originally about Adam's "Gay" bred hounds rabbitsmoker. Patch hounds were brought up in the conversation and I was curious about them so I asked a question. Sorry guys...didn't mean to hijack the thread. Ya'll have answered my questions.

Those guys on beaglesforsale are really after one another The bad thing about it Alpine has dogs that a friend of mine culled (TUG and HUB) and some more in the ped and plus some good ones in the ped and so does the other guy.But its rediculas what there doing the problem is they both are jealous More alpine because the other guy is selling dogs on the right site guess he is a competer to alpine in the selling buisness IDK LOL
