Maybe its not typical in your area, but here in East Tennessee the most popular topic on the local news is advertisement for the latest fund raiser. Looking at the economic trend the last seven years, I suppose that may be the best training they could receive for living in the USA for the rest of the Century.

Its so hard for those that do not know how or are too proud to play the system.

If they do, its a welfare check, free medical, food, gas, housing, check per child, and another check for you and the person living with you, more if its NOT your courthouse recorded married spouse. Wonder why so many are single and have bastard children? It pays a lot more each month.

Now compare that with a working man, married, children, with all the normal debt obligations making 30K a year that gets laid off and tries his best to pay his obligations.
