Has anyone seen this dog run? I've read a few things about him, just looking for some more info...considering him for a potintial stud. If you have anything negative to say about him, I want to hear it, but please be polite.... no bashing.

I have dogs out of T Shadow and T Five Rocket. 5 of them and they are complete rabbit dogs. I have seen Shadow and Rocket run. When ROCKET won at Jackson Co. beagle club to finish as field champion he dominated that day. I field marshalled that day. Go to the Midwest gundog association website and click on derby trial results. Carl has made the same crosses again and should have pups for sale now.

Sir,

I've never seen Shadow run. I do, however, own a male out of him. His dam is out of Indian Hills Trapper. He just turned 1 yoa. He started off going with the other dogs at about 4mo, started opening/running at about 5-6mo, and was running by himself shortly thereafter. He is a decent dog for the amount of time I've had to spend with him (lately I've been working more than enough). He sticks to the line good and can take charge of it just as much or more than the other dogs I have. He is energetic and high strung but minds well. His faults include pack ratting/chewing when left unattended for a short while, not enough hunt when soloed (probably just as much my fault), he doesn't have as loud a mouth as I like, and he has run off game twice. One time was alone during the peak of rut and the second time he joined in with another dog. He was shocked the second time and I haven't had him exposed to off game since. With all that being said, I wouldn't hesitate on owning another dog out of Shadow. I saw where Mr. Anderson had pups for sale on the Mid-West Beagle Gun Dog site. If I had more time for hunting/running, I'd try to buy a female from him.

Respectfully,
Al
