Tri-tronics classic 70 questions

Probably been ask a million times, how does everyone like them? How exactly does the tone work? Is it a seperate button and you push it before you shock them or does it give a tone right before the shock automatically? Thanks.

different button, I have a 2 collar 70s series and like it just fine. I do not use the tone button much because I do not want the hound knowing when I am going to shock them. Hope this helps. I think the key to shock collars is using the dummy collar prior to using the shock collars. Put them on in the pen and let them get used to the weight around the neck, this way they don't associate the shock to the collar as much. Just my opinion

In my opinion, It's the best collar on the market. Mainly it is very durable and reliable.

I have a 2 dog unit and a 3 dog unit. I love mine. I only use the tone to call my dogs in. That way if they are out of hearing range of me they know I'm calling. Then I give them a few minutes and if they do not come in they get it on #1. You will be surprised at how fast even hard headed dog come around to your way of thinking.

My old 2 dog unit the tone is a button on top of the trasmitter. The new 3 dog unit there is a " T " on the selector dial T-6.

Thanks for the info. I guess I've made up my mind which one to buy now. Don't some places make you nameplates when you buy a new unit? Where is the best place to buy?

Just orderd the three dog 70 set today. Same place and same offer for $539.00.
I did find them for $520.00 new but they didn't come with the name plates or holster and he didn't offer second day air. He orders them and has them sent from the factory. I wanted to have them by Friday.
