Did anyone besides myself go down to the PEE DEE wild life preserve for their opening day of rabbit season today? They only allow rabbit hunting from 1 - 15 february. The place was loaded with hunters and rabbits. I took 5 dogs, 4 under a year old and one 18 months old. Had one 7 month old pup out that was being gunned over for the 1st time, he did an excellent job. We Jumped 9 and got 6. Two holed up, and they lost one. I took a new buddy that I met on the board named (beagle madness) he got a kill too. I talked to 1 group that had killed 14 by 11:00 and another that had killed 6 by 11:00, just trying to see how everyone else faired. There was an article in this months NC Sportsman about this place.
