GR R CH Triple M's Hondo or GR R CH Triple M's Ginger? Any info on running style, hunt, etc would be appreciated.

I ran against and judged hondo a few years back,he was capable of beating you anytime you went up against him.He hunted very good and had very good foot,he was a little tight with mouth but seemed to score well,i think his breeding was New city and gay but no positive.

Ginger was a good solid female, hunted very hard, upper med to med-fast on track, could have a little extra mouth on a bad day but could pick a hard check about anytime, seem to have a good nose.

John & Mike Maynard here in Pike county owned and trialed both these hounds, you can get in touch with them about either one for an honest evaluation of both these dogs.

I judged Hondo when he championed out. I saw him run a rabbit over a dirt-and rock highwall that the other hounds couldn't smell. He was a rare combination of big nose and tight mouth. He must be 7 or more now, and may have loosened up a bit. Doesn't matter, as he was a solid hound when I saw him, and I have no doubt that he still is. Most importantly, as Lynn pointed out, John and Mike are straight shooters and will tell you absolutely what he will do and will not. They are gentlemen and houndsmen in every sense of the word.

I would have to say that Hondo is one of the tuffest hounds I have ever ran against or owned. He will be 7 in june, he has been granded out sence he was 25 or 26 months old. He came in 8th place this year at the WV State Hunt in the Grands. He is New City breeding and a good producer at that. I have a female out of Hondo and Ginger she won the 2005 WV State Hunt in the Champion Class, that granded her out. Ginger was a tuff hound in her day, she granded out in 7 hunts beatting some tuff hounds. she is going on 9 years old but she still has tons of hunt and can make dogs live hard on track. If any one interested in breeding to Hondo call me Eddie Smith owner. I believe Mark and Jeff Brown or Browning has a male out of Hondo that is doing real well, my # is 606-353-9119 located in Pike Co. Ky. Thanks Eddie Smith
