We drive a 1 ton Ford 4X4 Diesel pickup with an insulated topper which we can also put dogs in carriers in that area. We have a new custom built 10 dog trailer that each dog has their own large compartment. Each compartment has recessed locks so we can lock the dogs up at night while at a motel. The trailer has 12 inches of insulation on the top because of the top storage areas. During the summer time when it is hot and humid we have fans that will circulate the air around each dog area. Also the front of the trailer there is a 20 gal water storage tank and a 150 pound capacity dog food which gives front insulation. We carry various sizes of dog collars with our name and our cell phone number on it and we have each dog wear those incase the dog would break loose. We would hope that would never happen. We stop every 4 - 6 hours at a good location to let each dog out to exercise, eat, drink and use the bathroom. This takes at least one hour when we stop each time. We have a large collapsible puppy fence we use to let the puppies out in. Then we let all the dogs out again once we are at the motel and lock them up for the night. We provide fresh bedding for the dogs along the haul. If the dog is already named we want to know their name because we call it by that name. We understand the dog is already stressed/confused by leaving their home and then they see us and frequently are with us for several hundred miles. So, we feel it makes it easier for the dog if we know their name and use it. We carry Black Gold Dog Food and Purina Puppy food and if we have a dog using another type of food we will feed that. Frequently we will pick up dogs or puppies before we leave on our route and when we do that we kennel them at no additional charge. We try to treat each dog or puppy just the same as we would want ours treated.

I don't mean to be an a**hole but only trying to help someone out and make them think before it is to late=i know it has cost me in the past by not having proper license and following a USDA inspectors instructions but when it all was over i was told=and have it in writting=that even though i was instructed by a USDA inspector i did what i was instructed but still broke the law cause i followed those instructions,my fine was $10,000.00 over an above my attorneys fees.I never transported animals for others just myself and never for hire, transporting for hire falls under the USDA APHIS and Lacey Act and,my advise would be to contact the USDA and Federal Lacey Act Agents and be legal in all actions. Now is this bad advise and something i need to keep my nose out of???guess most would say so untill they are confronted by the USDA and Lacey Federal Agents and than they would be saying why someone in the know had not warned them,do business in a business way and keep everything above board and legal and than you have nothing to be concerned about and no big fines to pay.I am ONLY attempting to be of help and hate to see anyone fined by our great Federal Government that does so much for us all-BS!!!well you have nothing to worry about me i have no care for the USDA and they are not even allowed on my property=anymore that is.An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,so for what it is worth, i have said my two cents worth here.ImageImage

Guest==if i can help anyone out transporting their beagle i will at NO cost,if i charge you that is commercial transportation and comes under the Federal Lacey Act=Federal control=but still-even at NO cost- i require a Health and Brucellosis certificate in case i am stopped and ask for one or there is a road block checking drivers license and vehicle Ins and just happen to be ask for a health certificate, anytime you cross a state line with an animal you are required to have a recent health certificate even if you are just traveling to a trial in a different state and even if it is your own animal and for some odd reason you break a State law than the Lacey Law takes affect and investigates you-i know i have been investigate for taking my own animals to an out of state exotic animal auction,i was proven to be legal but lost my animals-a long story. The Federal Government has no pitty on anyone,it is all about job security to them,i've been there and if i can help you/anyone against the Federal Government and Federal control=i am here.ImageImage

WSRANDY=I had a cougar and a bob cat taken from me in Macon-Mo at Lollily Brothers exoctic animal auction by the Mo Game and Fish and was investigated by the Federal Lacey Act Agents=and this was a new one on me,i had never heard of anything called the Lacey Act but learned it concerns commercial transportation when you cross state lines=about the same as the FBI and associated with the USDA=at the time i lived in Ga and the agents were out of Atlanta-Ga and the main investigator was by the name of Searcey and he was very complete in his investigation and after all was said and done was told i had broken no laws, yet the Mo Game and Fish insisted i had and wanted me to commit to two misdemeanors or else they would trial me on two felonies and i keep telling them i had broken no laws and asked Searcey and he told me i had broken no laws but Mo keep calling and asking me to accept a years probation, none reporting and they would drop it all and again i checked with Searcey and he said that was a program where by when the Government had royally screwed up they tryed to get you to accept and if you did accept that you had best not make any mistakes while on probation, after allmost a year and a half i finally got a letter saying that the cougar and bobcat was being determined abondoned and if i wished i could come to some far away place and object, well both animals had a value of app $500.00 at the time and it would have cost me much more than that so i declined to make an appearance and later received a letter stating that the case was closed.I lost my animals and had not committed any crime cause i had proven i had proper license and permits but it cost me financially and mentally.Any animal control concerning the Federal Government in general SUCKS!!!!
