Sportmix 26/18? (blue bag)
Does any one feed this dog food and if so what are the good & bad. I've been feeding it for a few days and I've noticed that I have less waste and what waste there is, is more firmer. I've not been able to run my dogs yet, so I don't know how they will hold up on it. Any response would be appreciated.

That is what I've been feeding for the past 6 mo. and the dogs are doing well on it. I think what I've learned w/ dog foods is not to get sold out and be brand loyal. Keep evaluating what you are using and if results starts changing switch to something else.

I have switched to it from Black Gold just because if the availability. It is a little closer to go and get and it is $3 cheaper a bag. That being said, the dogs look good on it and I haven't seen a difference in stamina, but I haven't really hunted them hard since switching. I did notice a little more stool since switching, but not extreme. The odor of the stool is a little less than Black Gold, but that really doesn't matter because I keep it fairly clean.
Given equal opportunity for distance and price, I would buy Black Gold over Sport Mix but I will continue to feed it because it is a little closer and a little cheaper. I don't know if that is good enough reason, but that is what I am doing.

i bought some once and my dogs acted like they had no energy at all, maybe i didn't give them a chance to addapt to the feed change, the reason i got it was because the feed store was out of pro plan performance and i dont like diamond performance so i tried the sportmix,it is cheaper but i would rather pay more for pro plan,i have heard people saythey really like the sportmix though.
feed them pro plan joe,you got too good of dogs not to.just write a few more speeding tickets each month, just not to me though, lol
