These two little ones are friends of mine from Church, and for the last two Sundays they asked me to take them rabbit hunting with the dogs. They are my friend Kevin's little ones- Jada & Ashton. We went for about 4 hours yesterday afternoon, Things started slow, but when the first one got up the dogs pounded the trail for 2 hours, and we could not get the kids a shot for nothing. Finally it was getting late, so I cut one down so we didn't go home empty handed. Jada always calls me her Uncle Gregg, which warms my heart- of course. My youngest son was worn out from a wrestling tournament, and my 16 yr old just had his wisdom teeth removed, so they were both out of commision, so I had to borrow some kids.
When I got home, I was reminded that the little pair of Walls coveralls that Ashton is wearing is 20 years old now. My ugly twin brother-Garry- and I purchased them for his oldest son-Calvin- now 22 years old and fighting in Afganistan. Who passed them on to my oldest-Nick then my youngest Tanner, then Garry's youngest Chad, and now little Ashton.
WOW they grow up too quick
