Makes me mad there are kids getting abused all over the US that needs something done about it And those Turkeys are worried about a dog riding in box In my opinion a dog box is a place made in a motor vehical for a dog to be transported safely Crap i will put mine in the front with me and take a chance of not having enuff seatbelts and getting my dogs took for that

Well fellas I happen to be UNLUCKY enuff to have the Founder of Dogs deserve Better living near me and SHE is A WACKO!!!!!!!!!! she steals dogs outta peoples yards and fences if she thinks they are old or being mistreated. the courts have nailed her a couple times and she has changed her name twice and even lost her own CHILDREN to her ex husband but so many other WACKOS think she is like a God...they say she gave up her kids so trhat she could save so many dogs. She used to ..." VOLUNTEER to bring hay around and put it in peoples dog boxes and dog houses then a year or so later she went back and took dogs that were tied up outside when it cold. She is NUTS!!! She chained herself to the state courthouse to try and outlaw dogs on chains ...she did get the law that will OUTLAW wire bottom kennels in our state. She had the ex governor/Dictator in her corner and they went after the kennel owners first then the breeders and now its anyone who keeps a dog chained up or tied up. They went to an old ladies house down the street from my place and pounded pipes in the ground and stretched flimsyass wire fence around so her dog could go outside NOT on a leash. This was okay till the dog pushed the fence over since he was a big yellow lab and then got hit on the street...the elderly lady had to pay the vet bill....pay the fine for a loose dog and then Psycho dog lady took the dog and claimed the old lady could care for it properly...she had to pay a fine but she wouldnt give the dog back to the old lady. That dog was the old ladies companion and she is just sick over it. Whne my 2 young dogs took off on a fox 2 weeks ago I thought for sure they would end up at her place and TRUST ME that wouldnt have been pretty...I swear they tunred up at the NEXT FARM UP THE ROAD!!!!!!! sometimes you are better off lucky than good!!!

All that said, there are guys that could be more considerate of their hounds in the box........

I have seen some beaglers keep their dogs in a black box when its 95 degrees outside and go into Wal-mart and shop for two hours........Ive also seen guys keep dogs in the box for a couple days with wet bedding, no bedding etc.

Had a guy keeping his dogs in a truck dog box......had one forsale......when I looked at her she was all scabs from living in the box with wet bedding.......

I wouldn't touch a guys truck, dogs, or dog box, but I wouldn't be afraid to report an idiot for abusing his dogs.......and yes there are some idiot dog owners.

Ive seen some dogs show up at a trial I was judging and almost reported them to AKC......Every rib protruding out, clearly wormy, and showing up to compete.....dogs hacking, caughing, sick looking......pretty distasteful to expose everyone's dogs to your sick dog.....

Mybeagles, I think you have a good point. I have seen some of the same thing. The club I belong to voted a member out of the club because of the way he treated his dog. I think we all have to be aware of how our treatment of our dogs looks to someone else. I have dogs who look like they were in a slaughter house after running in the briars all day and I really don't want anyone to see them that way. I know I haven't abused them, but that doesn't mean it doesn't look bad to someone who knows nothing about hunting with dogs. I spent more on the health of my dogs last year than I spent on myself but that doesn't mean someone might see my dogs after a hard day in the briars and say I abuse them.
Leaving a dog in a dog box on a hot day can be abuse. Wet bedding, dirty dog boxes, not worming- all these things should be trouble for anyone doing it. We need to make sure our house is in order before we start raising a rukus with someone who is trying to help a dog.

No, just don't leave your dogs out in puplic for hours in a dog box. What happen to Adam seems to be wrong place,wrong time and bad luck. People try to do what they think is right but with out understanding. Out in the country we usually don't have any problem.

It makes me infuriated when people can be that frigging stupid about animals.... My dogs are inside pets but they don't need or want to be treated like people... food, water, exercise and health is pretty much all they need...
