got a question?
question for guys that run akc large pack trials and midwest up north . not to start any bickering or a war but what is the the main difference in the running styles of the lines most are running from a speed standpoint. lots of guys placing green bay hounds and offspring up north along with a few others. however it seem to be different lines that place in nkc littlepack. are the northern lines more conservative and line control oriented or is this due to location of dogs close by to the said clubs. trying to understand the difference of these lines. i am interested in these lines for nosepower on snow but i am a speed lover with front end speed. again this question is for my education and not to bash. looking for opinions on what most have witnessed as i am not interested in driving 6-10 hrs to see a large pack show. thanks
Throw me to the wolves and i will return leading the pack!
Re: got a question?
Call me sometime. I own two large pack fc's out of Green Bay kennels, bought them finished. I have seen several other fc's of that line. I will tell u what I like and dislike. I am not into sugar coating....lol. Decent dogs, well rounded.

Re: got a question?
I've never finished a dog in either format, but I sure hope I do. I feel it takes a special dog to finish in any format and win big hunts in different terrains and climates. I would get ahold of someone who has finished dogs up in the north if you are after big nose dogs with a lot of push to the front. There are a lot of lines that fit your wants in a hound.
I can pm you a few numbers.

If you ever get a chance, you really need to go to a Large pack trial up north, you'll never forget it! Take dog with ya
