Lots of good ideas here. Shade is the most important in my mind, I put large chunks of ice in the bowls, and my dogs seem to like to stretch out on the concrete. Anything to draw the heat from the body or cool it down, a dogs heat exchange is through his mouth so cool or cold water will do a lot.
