the chopping block

i dont know when they ever are not on the chopping block unless past their prime. i expect a 6month old to act like a pup and a 1 year old to act like a young dog with diffrent expectations than a 2 year old and right on down the line. i do think you know what you have after 2 hunting seasons though.every dog that makes 1 year wont make year2 and all those wont make year 3 but the older they get the more likely i have a keeper.
