Sounds like some of your rabbits have gone carnivorous.
Why you put so many in a small pen?
We had three bulls one time, brought them home together and they fought for a week. It was like the wild west watching them bulls duke it out, the dust was just a flying. They'd paw the ground and then go head to head pushing trying to drive the other into the ground. Was a real show...
Earl, their is a cat slippin into your pen and killin them rabbits. Bait them box traps with a can of tuna or sardines and you will see him shortly. We keep several box traps baited at our running grounds and every time we put out some tuna or sardines them cats answer the dinner bell!
Possibly could be a raccoon, they will kill and eat rabbits in an enclosure.A live trap baited with tuna should catch it,whether it be a cat or raccoon.Good luck, hope you get rid of your rabbit killer!

Hawk,I ve seen to many get up on a rabbit and they have just eat the head off.just last week the hawk that had the snake.it drop the snake and the head was gone.
Yall I think I got it last night.Nice male Bobcat.Right beside of the pen.been baiting it with chicken and nothing so I put a dead rabbit I found on the road and within two nights got him.He was a big one.Funny how he didnot care about a chicken.Had a chicken within 50 yards of the rabbit. He wanted something hes been used to eating.Got my fingers cross and hope I ve got the rabbit killer. This bobcat was smart. He got rabbits out of my boxes on the outside of the pen too.he just turn the box over and open the door and just reach in and get the rabbit.rabbit fur everywere.Thers just no telling how many hes got.Catch him in a beaver contoberry trap.He will not catch another one.
Good deal! I figured it had to be a cat of some kind. It sounded just like what happens in my pens, and I end up taking out a big old cat. They say plastic pipe and fence on a 45 degree angle outside the fence at the wood posts will keep them out. I'll try it some day, don't have the time now.
Thanks,
Bob
