Anyone have info on this bloodline, like what have you crossed with that gives the pups lots of brains, big nose, fast check work, and line control. I'm not looking to buy anything right now, but would like to watch some of this bloodline run. Where are you located at?? I've always been curious about this line, have heard good things.
Thanks.

It seems to me that all offspring out of Armandos Northern Tracker I have seen whether it be grandpups, great grandpups, and so on have all carried these qualities. All the dogs that I have seen run including the one that I own have big noses, brains, run to catch, with great line control. I love this bloodline and plan on trying to get more of it.

Got three dogs that have it in a 5 gen. pedigree. One dog it is his Great Grandfather. He has all those traits: brains, speed out the waazoo, line control, stamina, and run to catch (catches several full grown rabbits a year), big nose, he isnt the best check dogs but when he gets one he explodes out of it.

I have a female that is a little older and slower now but can still hang in there for a couple of hours with my younger hounds. I plan on breeding her this coming winter.

Paul Pazienza of Ontario is the owner of the Armando kennel and bloodline Armando Pazienza is his father. You might ask on the BeaglesCanada board, and Paul is a judge, you might find his info on the CKC judges directory. Most of Paul's dog's I've seen are good, hard-hitting dogs with good hunt.

If you look at the akc field champions from the armando bloodlines, you will see that they must not be swinging dogs. That gets you picked up in akc. I'm sure there might be a few out there that do but, it more than likely comes from somewhere else or from being consistantly run with rough dogs. My tracker bred male has been pressured hard by rough dogs his whole life and still is the same smooth, clean, very tight check dog that he was as a pup. Not trying to argue, just see things different.

10 4 what i consider a dog swinging might be a little different than you if they reach 25 yards in a check i consider it swinging. most of the time you will olny see this in the snow akc has a lot of flaws (BUDDY JUDGING ) NOT TRYING TO SAY THIS IS THE CASE, but it dose happen. you might have a really clean hound but in the check dose he snap right back to the point of loss, or dose he circle the point of loss all the ones i have seen start to look close but if they dont find it they might be 25 yards out of the check. THE DOG I OWNED WENT BACK TO ARMONDOS HAWKEYE AND YOU COULD NOT OF BOUGHT HIM FOR 10,000 HE WAS A RABBIT MACHINE SWINGING A LITTLE OR NOT HE WOULD OUT RUN A LOT OF GREAT HOUNDS

My male snaps back hard and I joke with my buddy's all the time that he comes back to the exact leaf where he lost the rabbit. He wouldn't even know how to swing I don't think.

I don't know if they are littermates. Whitey is around nine years old now.
