what is the general rule on a 2 week trial on a dog? a guy bought a dog from us 2 weeks ago, called the day after got her and said didnt want her made plans to get her back he canceled. then made plans at end of 2 weeks to get her and he canceled again. now it will be 3 weeks if not longer according to him before we get her back, and she isnt even being kept at his place. was wondering best way to handle this situation. we want her back but he is just jerking us around now, and we are not happy about it. Thanks

I wouldnt fall for that if the wasnt in my kennel in 2 weeks he would own the dog People want to try your dog for 2 weeks thats fine but then take thier sweet time bringing them back no deal the 2 week trial is from the time they leave until they are back a day or 2 i could live with if they tryed the dog the whole 2 weeks but calling me 2 days then wanting to wait a month to bring them back NOT I had it happen to me called me 4 days and not want the dog but bring the dog back at thier conv.. not gona happen here I would tell him if the dog wasnt in my kennel at th eend of the trial time dont bother he owns the dog thats nonsense he wanting the dog till seasons over

yes he paid for her that day. no he made sure not to let to much information out about where he was from he lives in Maryland somewhere, we met him in morgantown for him to get the dog, and even said we would go to maryland to get her back and he canceled. now he probably wont call for another week and want us to jump at his word, for when and where he says and he dont even work and my husband is trying to schedule work around getting her back. Just wondered when enough is enough.
Thanks

F@ck that, Kiss my @ss. The next time he called back i would say i hope u like your new dog! If he was a decent guy i wouldnt be so harsh on him but the fact that he seems to be ducking and dodging tells me he a bullshiter!!!
2 thing i have learned from letting people trial dogs are always get the money up front and ask to see there drivers liscense so i can write down there info and liscence number.

These guys are all correct if you ask me. The only other thing I would do and only if you wanted to as a final courtesy is leave him one more message basically stating everything these guys just told you here but in your own words. Like was already said, if the guy was trying to be up front and reasonable then I'd let it stretch out another week but this guy sounds like a

and I'd get it resolved one way or another in a quick hurry.
Personally if it were me I would explain in no uncertain terms that if that dog is not at my doorstep at the end of daylight Saturday then he owns it period!!!! NO EXCUSES!!
Good luck.

Well I know you value your reputation as you do your dogs. But a deal is a deal and 2 weeks is well enough time. He is playing a game and in my opinion its game over. he owns the dog its your money. He is probably running the dog and his season is about over so he doesnt want a dog to feed till next hunting season.
