WATCH OUT!

Post by davidc5936 »

I'm afraid there is an organized campaign to take dogs out of truck dog boxes on the grounds that they are "being abused". One report, on this site by Matt Glomski, told a tale (topic- "Stolen dogs") of having his dogs taken from his truck while in a store in Indiana.

Today, while I was at the Amelia County Beagle Club licensed trial in Virginia, I heard almost the same story, except in this case the ending hasn't been so good. Matt found his dogs in an animal shelter and was able to get them back. Adam Keith hasn't got his dogs back as yet. He knows where they are but he is being charged with abusing them and has to appear before a judge to defend himself. It has to pay a $3000 retainer to a lawyer before he will take the case.

This is just wrong, and all of us who carry our dogs in a dog box in our truck are at risk of having this kind of thing happen to us. These nuts will stop at nothing. In both cases, the guy stopped at a store while he had dogs in his truck and came out to find them gone.

We all need to make sure our dog boxes are securely locked before we walk a step away from our trucks. This just scares me to death- I can't imagine what it must feel like to find your dog box empty and dogs you have raised, cared for, trained, loved and treasured, taken, and being accused of being an animal abuser. We need to let these people know that they can't get away with this.

What if these nuts were to happen upon a field trial where a bunch of dogs were staked out or sitting in boxes? Would they take us all away in cuffs?

NO he Does NOT..
First thing he needs to do is go to the local authority's and File THEFT charges against the organization Holding the Dogs..
he also has a RIGHT to know WHO is Filing the Abuse Charges. What laws or Statues he has broken and WHO filed the complaint.
SOME type of Law had to have been broken or a complaint made or they would not have been able to charge him
he also has the Right to Represent Himself in Court and be Duly Compensated for his loss of time ect to defend himself against the charges.
the Problem is that folks are letting the Shelters Get away with this S*&T. the Shelter is NOT allowed to hold or charge him with Anything if they Themselves cannot Show any Signs that a law was broken. If the Dogs were just Turned into them all he has to Do is Show that he OWNS the dogs..Taking an Animal Or Anything out of a Personal Vehicle without Proper Cause is a Criminal Act..
Now just So that you are Aware in Most states keeping the Animal locked up in your Vehicle can be Construed as Abuse YOU must provide adequate ventilation. So make sure you leave a Window Cracked.
All people have a Constitutional Right against improper search and seizure its called the
4th Amendment
http://www.lectlaw.com/def/f081.htm
We need to STOP Buckling UNDER to these People..If More of them Were Charged With Crimes then less of them would do it and a good Ol Fashioned ass Whoopin goes a long Way to Stop this crap to!!!
Yes Lock up your Box And IF you Catch Somebody trying to get in Either Whoop their butts or call the Law on them or maybe a little of Both..
Practice your self defense right also
DEFENSE, SELF-DEFENSE
http://www.lectlaw.com/def/d030.htm
The Short Side is that NOBODY has the RIGHT to Remove Person Or Property from your vehicle!!!
From Field to Show and Show to Field the way it should be

Go to Amazon.com and look at the Owen's dog boxes. If you look at the reviews, some nut has given low reviews on them calling them "torture boxes" and saying that the owners should be placed in them, not the dogs. Like it or not, these NUTS are out there and refuse to see anything but their liberal-crazed view of the world. They don't see that we love our hounds and take great care of them, they just see us as redneck animal abusers. They make me sick that's my one-sided view of things. I never even thought of putting locks on a dog box, but in the past 6 months I've kept a set of locks and chains handy.

This is craziness. In some states you are not allowed to let your dogs loose. So now are you telling me that if I am hauling my dogs in a box , to go hunting, etc., that I am abusing them? I think not. Next they are gonna tell us we cannot keep them in a kennel. That is abuse also. Well, where I live if your dogs run loose, well mine aways, the neighbors are calling. It is ok for their dogs to run loose and torture the neighborhood. If I am ever out and catch someone trying to take my dogs out of my box, I pity them. You can bet your sweet ass they will not take anyone elses. That is stealing. I will not mess with anything anyone has and I expect the same in return. My dogs are a part of my family. When you mess with them, you are messing with me and that won't fly. I am sure there are alot of other people who feel the same way.

GOOD NEWS!

Adam rounded up 15 politicians and heavy- hitters in the county where he lives and when they all walked into the courthouse, the case was dismissed and he got his dogs back! He is still out the money for the lawyer, but at least he has the dogs back.
