Happy Birthday Rambo! I wouldn't have the dogs I'm so proud of today without you. ;-)

Ol Rambo is the best hound I have saw run a rabbit/hare. I remember a day that was bitter cold, had old junk snow, our dogs popping off here and there trying to circle. Guess who splits off by himself and smoothly circles without a bobble as many times as the hare wants to make....Rambo. That was impressive. I had the chance to breed to pretty much anything I wanted at one time. I was going to pay the money and breed one of my females to a big name stud. After much research the "bigtime stud" I chose was Rambo. I wasn't only looking for a dog that held all sorts of titles so I could sell pups, I was looking for a reproducer! I found that and more in Rambo and would do it again in a heartbeat. I ended up with the best litter of pups I've ever had (still own the two I kept) and made one heck of a life long friend in Andy. As for Rambos pups, they would always make a rabbit dog and many more would've titled if they were pushed. No doubt about it and that is my two included. Even at 7-8 years old I still think my two could title easily.

Congratulations on owning such a fine hound Andy.

Glad the ol'boy is still hanging in there!

Not only was Rambo an awesome rabbit dog but his granddaughter Sammi is placing in trials and I just started trialing her this january (2nd in ukc PP, 2nd in UKC HB and a first on the bench) the Rambo line has produced some good ones for sure!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!
Hunted him last year a couple times but his hearing is poor and his speed is down to a shuffle.
So needless to say he's retired.
For his birthday I turned him loose in the pen to sniff around.
He loved it!

I believe I judged Rambo in his first little pack win. It was bitterly cold and no other dog could run and Rambo circled with ease

Two 5 yr. old daughters of Rambo here in Gaylord are running hare 3 or 4 times a week. Also spent almost a month in the U.P. and just got home. They sure are taking after their father!! Happy Birthday Rambo!!!
