Breeding a female that is an alligator...lol

I have a female who has been bred before successfully, but she is violent when the male tries to mount her.
Obviously she will need to be held and muzzled, yes she is near standing heat, but not quite there yet. I know this as she had to be held at the stud hound owners house last time.
It took him and his father to hold her...lol. She raised 6 pups with no issues.
Any successful means to make this any easier than just holding her there, I know we can get it accomplished, but just seeing if anyone has any experience with this??
Thanks for the insight.

I had one like that I used cross ties about 3"- 6" long and tied her in corner of kennel where she couldn't reach around and I muzzled her. after they got locked up they were fine. I tie alot of my females now I find its easier on the male, I have a 3 yr old male that is missing a front leg from an accident but he was a dandy before happened and I bred him to a female by tiing her.

i know its not the best practice but i have seen where people in the pitt bull and bull dog world use a rape stand to keep the female from getting the male.
good luck and dont loose any fingers

I had a small 11.5" female that was the same way and she was still a bear after the tie. I would love to hear others suggestions. I just decided never to do that again, crazy thing is she was the nicest, sweetest dog right up until he made puppy eyes at herLOL TDOG knows which bitch Im talking about

Best suggestion thus far is use kennel door as a head gate for her. I am definitely still going to get a muzzle for her.
Hopefully we can make it work!!

I have took a lead and hooked it to one side of kennel and hooked the other side to a coupler. I hooked the bitch to the coupler and then took the other hook to the other side of the kennel. She had no way of getting away. She could only turn around. She couldn't reach back and snap at the male. Worked well for me.

Yes I saw those, just concerned about height adjusments.
They would work if they would go low enough.

Take an old collar, nail it to a tree at the height you need.

Gonna try the deal with the door as the head gate and use some black electrical tape to keep her from biting me or the stud hound... we will see.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
