To a dog to the vet today to find out that he has a hernia. The vet recommended removing it so they kept him. Has anyone ever had one removed from a dog? How does it effect them? How long r they layed up. Thanks in advance.

I have had them sewn up, but never removed? Mine recovered well in about 6 wks to full strength. Good luck!
