Being new to beagles I have been doing a lot of research and have heard a lot of good things about different dogs and was wondering if anyone could tell me some good things about Reggie and any faults he may have. I know he is out of FC TURBO POWERED BY PROP / MARAVICS BLUE GIRL. I also know that Blue Girl is Ninja bred top and bottom and that Ninja was a good dog. I also understand that Reggie was a good dog. So if anyone would like to give me the good things and his faults I would appreciate it. He is in the pedigree of the pup I have and I am researching all the dogs in the pedigree the best I can.

He's in your opinion "PROBABLY the GREATEST" beagle to ever hit the woods, but your wondering if anyone can tell ya any good things about him and any faults he may have, is that right? Ole mule, let me see if i can help. Well you are right, he is the greatest beagle to ever hit the woods. PROBABLY WOULD OF BEEN A AVERAGE HOUND IN MOST GUYS HANDS, but his owners persistence and knowledge led him to greatness and he became a FC and a IFC. A fine darn hound. He will be talked about for more than 20+ years, make it 60+ years, ........ and reproduce????? He is the best producer of fine dang hounds to ever hit the General Services board, so yes, you are correct. He is all that and more!! .................... Ya will have to excuse me now, i just threw up in my mouth.

Never saw Reggie run but his accomplishments of winning an A.R.H.A. World Championship, garnering enough wins and points in the U.S. to become a A.K.C. Field Champion and then going to Canada and doing the same thing [ running in both Large Pack,Little Pack and S.P.O. formats ] is nothing to sneeze at no matter what you think about who owned him or how he's produced.
And how has he reproduced? Well there are a lot of guys with some very nice dogs that have enjoyed a lot of success with their dogs sired by Reggie. There are I'm sure a lot of guys that have had dogs sired by Reggie that they don't/didn't like at all. That's about par for the course with any stud that has been used as extensively as Reggie has.For several years in a row Reggie has sired more winning/placing dogs in A.K.C. formats than the other studs.
People are constantly whinning about "look at how many females he's bred".Like that was Reggie's fault or his owners fault????????????? Give me a break! You all wish you had a dog that folks were using like that.
Personally I don't care one whit about how many times he's been bred to.All I care about is that after researching his abilities, traits, characteristics and pedigree and doing the same to the female I want to cross to him that I've done my homework as the breeder and have confidence in the cross I'm making. After that let the chips fall where they may.Have others done their due diligence when breeding to him????
I've owned two females sired by Reggie. One was linebred Syris McGhee, championed out in 4 hunts, very nice dog.The other was linebred Blue Ninja, stayed small and sold her as a 2 year old for a four figure price to a guy that already owned her littermate sister.Owned a female out of Thunder Blue [ Reggie littermate ] that championed out in 3 hunts, very nice dog.
Currently have two dogs in my kennel sired by Reggie sons that I am very pleased with. One is sired by Puckett Creek's Tn. Driver and the other by Statin's Blue Samurai. Both Reggie sons that I think most would be proud to own.

So pups line bred on Reggie "out of a direct son" with a dam that has Reggie as a Grand Father would be good pups assuming both the sire and the dam are well bred and is the real deal when it comes to running rabbits?
