Trying to name the top ten hounds with the most AKC licensed wins. I saw an old stud ad of IFC Melanson's Ranger Dan & he had 23 licensed wins on his trial record! IFC Able's East Coast Trimmer finished 3 times over, but I'm not sure how many wins he had. More recently, FC Durham's Lily & FC Jump N Run Zena had several licensed wins, but not sure exactly how many.
-CKC LPH wins count too.

Rex Depew's dog FC FCGD Side Hill Keuka Blue I know had 10 licensed wins by like mid 2013. I think he stopped putting him in trials then. He had 10 wins and something like 403 points in the AKC. So basically, a FC 3x over.

It seems like most of the dogs mentioned are from up north(large pack dogs),my question is ,is it more welcome to run a dog after its finished up north than it is down here in the Midwest? Seems like when guys down here (Midwest) finish a dog we stop trailing it unless we are going for high hound in that particular year they finish, I kinda like the fact that guys still run their dog after they finish, down here it seems like the runoff is the only time you see older or previous fc, it's tough when you make an fc when the dog is fairly young and you know it's best is yet to come, I basically quit trialing Chester in the Midwest after he finished cause I thought it was the thing to do, up north it seems different

I don't think so John. the trials I've been to up in NY and out east (SPO) but still some of the same guys and dogs. A lot of guys shut down their FC after the year they finish them. They finish the year out and that's it. When guys run their FC, you hear a lot of grumbling amongst people in the gallery and at the clubhouse. Some of the guys do it on purpose. So no, you don't run against a bunch of Field champions at the SPO trials I've been to out this way, for the most part.

I know of some FC and IFC hounds that continue to be trialed for Sire points. Many of the CKC champions mentioned above continue to be trialed after they finish. Dogs with 10-30 wins have to be considered great hounds in any registry. Any dog that can accumulate that many wins must be very level headed. Many dogs can't handle being trialed that much without becoming very rough. When a dog runs against that kind of competition and can win to earn their title, it is definitely deserved.
