In pkc if your dog picks the rabbit up and is doing nice work, but you have the line 20 yards away and a dog passes yours before they get there which one would get scored?

A lot of dogs that are ran in pkc are ran in lp also aren't they?

Joey, Vandalia, IL is hosting a double hunt on May 15 if you want to come check it out, maybe I can meet you there. Todd, why don't you come give it a try, meet you in St. Lou....there is nothing to lose....

I know there are a lot of folks spooked about money but I promise you, things are going fantastic right now with the members that we have. This weekend at the Volunteer Classic, $2,400 paid out and there wasn't a protest! I couldn't think of a better group to get this thing off the ground with. Will there be bumps in the road? Yes, there will be, it's how we deal with those kind of folks that is going to make the difference, bottom line.

Our rules are simple and clear cut, you don't need a law degree to handle a dog. I saw some references to night hunts, guys, this all happens in the daylight in front of your own eyes. What we want to do is this: promote good rabbit dogs, maintain a positive family envoirnment that you can bring your kids to and reward you along the way, it's just that simple. We are going to start offering more and more incentives for our members, details are coming in the next issue of the Rabbit Hunter. It's just the tip of the iceberg folks.

If any of you have any questions or ideas at all, give me a call at 479-787-0250 or email me at rockhilldog@hotmail.com

U have to register your dogs in PKC just like you would in NKC...ANd you also have to become a member of a club in order to run your dogs at a PKC event...Its not that expensive....similar to fees in NKC or AKC...

I personally like running for the money. There are people that would cheat for a quarter and there are people that wouldn't cheat for a million dollars so that is a fact of life. At least if we all ran PKC every once in a while you would have a chance to take something worth your trouble home with you.

Joey, any person can run as a guest up to three times without having to become a pkc member or register the dog. If you do this, you win the money, it just doesn't count on your dog. This is a good deal to see if it is for you or not. The entry on Kevin's double hunt is $15 at 7 and $15 at 11. To register your hound in pkc is $15, to become a pkc member is $25 and is good for a year. You don't have to belong to a club. To go along with your membership, you get an annual subscription to the rabbit hunter.

Hey mayb the beagles won't be like the coonhounds but how many professional handlers r there in the coonhounds? How many hunts do they win compared to the average guy? Yea they r not involved yet but the purses go up and they will be in beagles to.

Count me in. I know exactly where the club is. I'd like to give it a try. I"m bringing two dogs. Sounds like fun. Hey todd you can ride with me if you'd like or follow me out if you don't know how to get there? If not I'll see you there!
