see my wife win the world or my daughter win the bench. Any more watching them brings more pride than anything. Grandpa always said he got more enjoyment watching the dogs run and me and my boy trying to kill them. Found out later he was right also the fact that he couldn't hit the broad side of the barn that's why he just watched shells got to expensive

I've been to Branko's a couple of times and their hospitality is second to none. Contrary to popular belief, Branko will run anything he has on the property you want to see go. When purchasing a dog from him, he prefers that you bring your best and run with multiple dogs until you're satisfied that you are improving your kennel. They were the best trips I could ever hope to have gone on.

Went to Maine when I was younger it was like a different world compared to Illinois. I never got a shot at a hare but the running was unbelievable. I would love to go back with the hounds I have now and give it another shot at mr. white rabbit. Also going to canada to the Brankos and running. I met them seven years ago when I picked up a pup from them on there swing through the U.S. and got to visit with them for a while. These would be my two big bucket list things

Don't worry Casey, I got this one covered. I am pretty sure Chris won't get out of the driveway without me sitting in the truck, even though it may be in the back! :D

I live in southern Maine and if anybody gets up this way I can show you places to run it's not the same as up north but you will run all day and have a blast.if you want to hunt on bare ground October is the month to come up if you want to hunt on snow February and March are good months to come up .

I have been to Maine twice and I am going back this year. We just like to run dogs in the two years combined we shot 4 hare. I would just like to run swampers to see what the difference is some say hare run better and some say swampers run better I just want to judge for myself I have some people looking for a place for me to run if it happens I'll let everyone know what I think.

I have only been swamper hunting twice. My dogs were in shape for cotton tail races not swampers. Where we went was northern ky. We ran plenty of both swamper and cotton tail. I have never ran hare before but from what I understand it will test your hounds mentally and definitely physically. Swamper running in my honest opinion might be very close to the same. I can't honestly compare it to hare hunting, but swampers will test both stamina and mental toughness. Swimming across bodies of water and going through some cat tails will test any hound. I don't think my dogs went miles away on a swamper, they didn't have to, taking the chase to the swamps was enough!

I would like to run hare once before I die. I would love to be able to win the world hunt. But mainly I would love to go to a trial and be able to handle my dog. I am really happy that my son loves to trial and him or a couple good friends handle my dogs but I would give almost anything to be able to handle my own. Sitting in the truck on cast just isn't the same.
