my dog was fine. kennels were clean remodeled . dogs looked healthy well fed. Vic Constanza is sending a bitch with 2 wins to Dean. based on this what i seen and cases of a new strain of dog flu out in recent years , new parvo virus old vaccine did not cover, distemper, 2 new tick diseases dogs getting sick especially those trialed and handled increases risks can happen to anyone. my vet says there has been a lot dogs nationwide dying being exposed to the new flu. some these illnesses can cause blindness. there is lot new things with dogs to watch now.new flu, new parvo, new distemper, 2 new additional tick diseases erchliosis - a guy know had a dog get it lived but went blind kidneys damaged too . be leary at trials beagle club kennels might look clean but microbes are invisible and dogs in close quarters.

man when i was hitting the trials hard a few years back my dogs where catching crap all the time. since i quit trialing i dont have half the issues and vet bills for meds. this is a shame that this mans dog died. weather he was poisened or not.

Dean and his mother took it very hard. the dog i have there is in perfect health is in a clean place with clean water otherwise i would brung her home dean has her in good shape and says might be one the best 13 bitches he ever ran. dogs can pick up illnesses in even a clean kennel especially those trialed and exposed to kennels shared by a lot of different dogs. my vet says these places of competition often eek with high numbers of bad microbes. i have a friend here in the south through his kennel flows dogs from all over the usa and canada. he keeps the dogs well fed kennels clean but has a lot of dogs that come down sick and die. he has the worst luck i am not sure why. There are vaccine resistant bugs out there now some are new as mentioned. protecting your hounds is harder now than ever. you must find out these new super bugs seek the right vaccines for them. erchliosis has no vaccine lyme vaccine success varies. You need to leep up all the time on these things to do what we can to protect our dogs. You never expect it to you have it happen to you. Neopar is the vaccine for the new deadily strain of parvo. Theres a new flu vaccine too. This flu is hard on older and younger dogs. I guess I don't get it, your saying the dog was poisoned. Does that mean he was poisoned or caught some kind of flu?

end of story @ a sad time. no further comments thanks for the comments with good intentions this is a big world with all of us many miles apart sometimes we say things meaning well but i am not always right nor any of us. my condolences in this misfortune its a hard thing losing a good hound will break the biggest man til his eyes leak. best of luck with your hounds Dago and any one out for improving the breed. All's i know is the first trial i ever went to ,Dean Carli Sr. was the first person to talk to me ,and make me feel welcome.I've talked to mrs. Carli,and Jr. and they pretty much didn't have much to hide about anything they were selling. I called them about a hound ,and jr said i could bring my hounds up,and run in his pen. If you guys sold him hounds ,and they died they probably were pot lickers.
