My favorite was when I was at a trial and my dog was HAMMERING the front. She got the jump, and was picking up most of the checks. A few minutes before the cast was over, the judge yelled to pick her up. When I went over to put the lead on her he said, and I quote "She's just running too much rabbit". LOL....silly me....I thought that was what a rabbit dog was 'sposed to do. I've got so much to learn.

Just a question but was the dog running the front creating the check and then grabbing it... I think you have to take that into consideration here.... Alot of times the front dog will be the one to create most of the checks but as long as they quit giving mouth and snap back to original point of loss and work inside out they can be fed in my pen anytime....

hounds... hare.... hunter.... bang... what gets better than that.
