they are like greyhounds fast lots of hunt can run the heck out of a rabbit if the senting is real good but ruff as hell and have a huge check area if any probably 25 ft on a good day up to 50 or a hundred yards other days

my little satsuma female can go all day fast as heck she is a nice good looking dog if she was a bunch cleaner and not as fast she would be a dream only 2 major faults too many

i like my clean smooth running medium speed black creek gyp she is actually a bit faster because she is so solid has very few checks it speeds things up over the dragraces i get out of my satsuma and the rabbits dont head to the next county to escape

Good to see your post Rob:
glad that pup is turning out for you.... Joey Hearing has sold "Stone Cold Mack" and is about out of beagling..... The best source for info about where Satsumas are would be Mel Faust... He is located in Amit City La and can be found in the white pages......

This should get his number... Note he has two numbers listed:

Double E Stone Cold Mack was Never Sold. He died on the same place he was born at the Ripe old age of 13. He styed with Mel Faust for several years after I got out of trialing in 2004 - 2005. Double E peaches and Cream also died at double E Kennels. I still have 2 females out of Peaches who were her last litter. Joey Herring

Hey jake, there's a guy by the name of mike ridenhour spelling may be off but he had a lemon dog that was some what satsuma bred. He's down around owensville area. I was told he lost the dog but don't know if thers any truth to that. Probably have a better chance catching him on the ukc board.
