Nemex II,,,, Its always good to worm your gyps thouroughly before you breed them, You might want to start a monthly worming schedule...

I use Ivomec.

Ivomec kills all worms except tape.

Also the pups will have the Ivomec in their system.

1/10 cc per 10 lbs.

good luck,

I do have a monthly worming schedule for my dogs. This female belongs to a friend. Thanks for the suggestions. I also use Ivomec but didn't know if it was safe for a pregnant female.

I wouldn't use Ivermectin on pregnant bitches. It can be hard on the pups developing liver and I have had the experience (with exotic animals) with fetal reabsorption and still births.
Stick with the Nemex or other Pyrantal Pamoate based wormers.

I called my vet to ask about giving this months heartworm tablet to my pregnant hound. She is about 4 weeks along. Vet said Tri-Heart Plus is OK for pregenant hound. TriHeart has Ivermectin/Pyrantel in it.
