Well guys,

Years ago deer running wasn't a problem here because there wasn't any deer. The first deer harvasted in the 20th centry in my county of Maryland was 1957. Now we are poluted with them. In the 60s deer running was fatal. Beerdrinking Bob, I had a mother and 2 daughters that were naturally deer broke, that were the best rabbit dogs I've ever owned, so not running deer has NOTHING to do with the ability to run rabbits. And yes the were deer proof, bet the house!

An old timer remedy, is the put the young dog in a barrel with a deer skin and roll it down a hill. Also never run a young dog with a deer runner unless you want deer runners.

I like to use a fence shocker with a deer gland when they are young. It works. The young dogs will avoid deer smell for a long time. Only a deer runner will be able to convince then to chase deer. Electric fence shockers can be bought cheap at sales, or under $100 new. A $100 is alot for something you'll only use once of twice.

Yep that would be the best thing to do. Unless you have some good running shoes everytime u run them or go hunting. So you can chase them down if they run a deer.

they're used for more then trash. if you have a pup that cold trails, backtracks, dog trails,or is even a little mouthy in a check area you can break them. they are also good for a dog that does'nt handel well. just be careful to much "shock therapy" can ruin a dog. they can be as bad as they are good.

I don't, I love my Dogtra. Best collar I've seen and I was a dealer for Innoteck.
