did i read that right'chip will be the master of hounds at the lil world?will there be a commitee to take care of any problems like they have at the world?not that we are expecting any problems but in my opinion, they should have a commitee to go over all protests at big five hunts,it is only 5 times a year, hell put all the peoples names that are qualified master of hounds in a hat pull three or five or whatever out before each bid five hunt and there is your commitee.if we have a problem arise, pay the fifty dollars, settle it there and go on.some people travel a long way and spend a lot of cash just to be sent home over an inocent mistake like not watching a clock when a dog leaves the country on off game then when the guy gets his dog back 20 minutes later he is awarded 10 points and wins the cast.i am not pointing fingers or trying to step on anyones toes that is why i didn't mention names that is just a very good examle,if there was a commitee there, things COULD have come out different.and for those wondering,no it was not chip.he was not even there.

Danny you sound like a fella that may be a protester. Dont worry bout chip he can handle it and sell ya a tracker in the process. There wont be any problems usally pretty smooth event . I will say the biggest problem will be places to park at the diplomat inn.

Danny,

You don't have to mention names... I'll take your dig, however I won't argue on the internet.. All I will say is " There was no Off game chase". SEE ME IN PERSON!!!!!

You do need to learn what a "Protest" really is. I heard you slamming me at the about my decision at the Grand Nationals. I will ALWAYS back my judge unless you show me the rule he broke. From what I see.. You are pissed at the end of every cast you don't win. A protest is a "RULE VIOLATION" period. It's there to USE. I've never heard anyone say there is an unwritten rule not to protest.. Anyone else ever heard that?? You need to relax a little and learn that your hound doesn't always win.

Danny in case you have not heard there are several unwritten rules. 1.Your dog as good as he is can be whipped in a cast at any minute . Usally when you expect it the least. 2.The more you draw negative stuff towards you the bigger target you become and people may begin to call you redtick , 3.Know ur rules , I use to have the same problem , just didnt seem fair is not a rule violation . 4. If u plan on seeing me or anyone else dont go to indy as stated , its a trick brother turn around , ur going the wrong way . See ya in EVANSVILLE .

Man, sounds like I wish I was staying at the diplomate this year but I had to move up the road closer to the club house you see every time I stay at the diplomate either Taylors gets me or the diplomate parking lot gets me and the older I get the worst those darn hangovers get, but anyway why stop now I think me and Mike Price might just stop by one evening and shoot the sh$t with you guy's and you can bet we'll bring some cold beverage's with us. Good luck to everyone this year.

Sir, You hit the nail on the head. This is one of the biggest problems in ARHA trials. I am not taking sides in this particular argument, as I do not know the details. But as a Judge and Master of Hounds I have handled a good bit of protests. By far, the majority of these are not based on alleged rules infractions, but on judge's discretionary calls. I have shot down several protests on off game calls. The only thing the protestor could say was "my dog don't run trash", so I'm protesting this call. I just don't get it. And the bad part is that MOST of the people protesting are people who are not new to the ARHA trials. You would think that after a while you would learn the rules, especially if you are looking for excuses to deny getting beat. Very frustrating and one of the biggest reasons that its hard to find judges. Most people(myself included) do not like having to deal with confrontations every time they take a cast out.
