Flyboyc141,
I don't normally post anything on this cowardly board. Mainly because most people that have something negative to say hide behind an anonymous name. I don't know if you intended to bash me or not but that is the way I took it. First of all I didn't know the dog that won the trial. However, I do know his owner. I have judged as many big male classes as anyone in the Mid-West and this was the first time I have judged this hound, as far as I know. If he has been run under me before he got picked up. I know for a fact this is the first time he has placed when I was judging. I knew three hounds on the ground that day. Two of the hounds I knew were owned by a friend and the other a cousin. None of these three hounds placed in the top five. I can assure you I didn't matter if the hound was a Mid-West hound, ARHA, UKC or Large Pack. I try to place what I think is the best hound on that day. As for me hearing the name during role call. In large pack the dog's number is called out not the dog's name (Genius). I'm telling you the same thing I told the handler of the winning dog after the trial was over. He didn't have to keep the name of the dog a secret, because to think I wouldn't give the god a fair look because he was already finished or to think I would have give the dog a better look because he is an Mid-West dog/Champion is bull crap. The dog got what it deserved. Don't forget there were two judges that judged. If you have a problem with the owner or the hound then be a man and take it up with them. Don't get on here and assume anything about me or what I know. Better yet if you would like to know something about me or a trial I have judged be man enough to call me.
My name is Earl W.Rice and I approved this message.
PS. My number is (606)843-9954, feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this further

Earl i was not bashing you( ididn't even know who the mid-west judge was) or reggie just the stupid thing about people not knowing who he was what did the handler do just throw his money down for his fee and say i'll tell you who the hound is after the trial i don't think so anybody at a trial can go up and look at the enties and see what hound has what number
Flyboy,
Maybe I over reacted. Although, you may not have know who the Mid-West judge was alot of people that read your post did. I was the only Mid-West judge and felt like your comments were negative and directed toward me. This is the problem with posting things on this board. Many times comments may not be meant the way they are read. If I misunderstood your comments I appoligize. However, I just want people reading this to know that the dog won because both judges had him as their top hound. Not because either of us knew him or his owner.
Gook luck in future trials

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I've been out of town trialing. He had drive score as well as checking ability. I don't have my score card in front of me so I can't remember exactly how many checks to drive score he had. However, I remember both judges had him the in the top three with score all day. He started of strong and finished strong.

Reggie is a hell-of-a-dog! He can do it all. Anyone saying different is just jealous. He impressed alot of people in the northeast. He handles like a dream, he is very well behaved in the kennel (not that common for big males). I've never seen a pup out of him, so no comment. As far as being blown up, the guys saying that have spent too much time up-stairs with Awful Bawlin.
What do I know, well I finished him at Palmer!
