i have 2 house beagles that im tryin to get into hunting.... i have taken them out a few times and they seem to be interested but no hits... any tricks???

try introducing them to some tame rabbits first. let them chase & tackle them & get a mouth full of fur. Then hold the dogs firmly & get some on e to tease them w/ the rabbit so they cant guite get it. They should start to bark. You can also have some one shoot a wild rabbit & drag it around on a rope & get the dogs to chase it. Whip it around in a circle. These have always worked for helping to start dogs for me. Mike

how old are they?if they have never been messed with you may have a hard time,go get a gog that is running and put it with them,they may catch on.

As was mentioned, get a tame rabbit and let them smell it. I am assuming they are adult beagles so I would recommend putting the rabbit in a wire cage and let them see and smell the rabbit. (Adult beagles would kill a tame rabbit very quickly) If they become interested take them to a field early in the morning or late in the afternoon where you know there are rabbits. Just let them roam and hunt for a couple of hours each trip. If they have it in them they will start.
