This much I've learned from listening to lots of folks, attending a few trials and watching different folks's dogs run..... Everyone agrees on the one format that promotes a good running dog that can get it done in the woods. Everyone knows what one format has dogs that runs an upper medium speed dog with good line controll....

Every agrees it's the format that they happen to run in the most! (at least until you loose a bunch, then it's corrupt and changing from what it was and time to find a new format)

I'm just a gun hunter and could really care less about field trials, but I would like to weigh-in on this subject. I have attended and participated in about every format at one time or another, and think a cross of ARHA LP/UKC PP would most clearly define what I think a rabbit dog is.....remember the ultimate trial is actually out in the thickets hunting rabbits, something alot of my hard core trialing buddies very seldom do.!!
I would like to add, that out of all the trials I've attended, I felt the least welcomed by the mid-west boys (no offense intended), and probably won't go back.....anyways, to each their own..!!

this post is a joke. just a way for u to bash. the man asked someone else a ?? not u.

i like akc format. i have always thought there FC were a better hound in genarel then ukc or ahra. it is way harder to finsh in akc. and there as ben in past akc, ahra, ukc champs. but why in the world would a guy chance a hound who is a akc FC to injury or getting hit by a car. to compete in another format.

u want the best u run against the best. u want to trial to have fun u have 3 very good choice to meet friends and run hounds.

when this post started bill thier was never any mention of any other club or bashing of any other format, the ? was what would you think of a new association or a federation starting up to give clubs that can have akc licence trials another option if they don't want to paticipate in the ones that were already out there and it is as simple as that. but as you read on it seems like the heat is coming from only one direction and i've held my own. so if you fill that any other format is beneath you or you don't see any use for another association or federation that is your right and i respect that. but what i can't understand is if this post is such a joke why so many are reading it and wasting there time making comments on it, i've had people call and tell me that they think i'm joke for starting this post and that everybody is laughing at me + i've had twice as many call or come up and shake my hand and look me in the eye and say they like the things i've said and they agree with it. so here we are 3 or soon to be 4 pages over and they are still writing post about the guy they think is a joke and making comments on a post that is a joke and everybody else is just taking it all in, as for ukc and arha these guys get just as much for thier pups -dogs + stud fees as anyone eles and they have just as good a dogs as anyone else so i don't personally see that akc is the elite way to finish a dog, the ukc nationals is coming up, last year they had over 600 dogs, my dogs are all akc registered and i've registered them with ukc as well. i would like to personally like to invite you bill to attend this hunt this year i think you would really enjoy yourself if you gave it a chance. happy trialing + hunting

my bad earl is was counting all the hounds that were entered in the show as well .thanks for the correction robert the money amount is still correct though, i wish that the other formats ( not knocking the others at all here in any way shape in form) would put as much into show as ukc dose during a trial don't you guys, to me it just makes for something a little extra.

Jamie Rice before you go piont your finger at club and say it owes the M.W.G.D.A. any money you better go check your records or go and ask your new elected treasure about it. Cedar Creek dont owe you nothing.
