read the post,no one was bashing branko, almost everything in my kennel goes back to branko,i was talking about there running dogs they sell, they charge a ton of cash and they aint broke or anything.

would you pay a thousand bucks for a dog that won't handle, never been shocked off deer, heck for that matter, never been introduced to a deer scent to give it a chance to turn it down.

my post was about people who bought RUNNING DOGS from them, you all twisted things to make it sound like i was bashing them and eery dog that came from them

you all need to re read it a lil slower and think before you start slingin arrows.

I basically am a grade dog man and have been for over 30 years, but in the last 20 years as I have tried to develope my own bloodline I have found it hard to find the type dog I wanted to cross back into my dogs.so in the past few years I have looked at a lot of registered dogs, such as the patch, northway, taylors sock it to me, gay, white river, shake, wingate, branko, and others. I (by far) perfer the branko bred dogs. There may be some with more hunt, better check work, more track minded but when I looked at the complete package (to me ) they were heads above.

her ya go guys,ya don't even have to scrool back to see it,the entire post was about running dogs.they can take a dog, sling it in a pen with a ton of other ones just like it and get it running then stick a $600 - $1000 price tag on it and people will pay it because it came from branko!

how many of you all have priced a freshly started dog for $600?

now how many of you have ever sold a freshly started dog that high?

you know why you can't sell a green dog that high?

cause ya aint branko!!!!!!!!!!!

my point is when ya buy a green dog from them for that kind of money all your buying is a name

i bought a pup off of johnnyringo,he is out of two dogs directly out of ombre,he is in the pen running and doing an awesome job,it is the excact same thing they are selling up there, now, who wants to buy him for $600???????

nobody, why?because my name is not branko krpan.

Danny I don't know you but there is a difference between a running dog and a started dog, having said that I'm not paying that for either that's why I raise most of my dogs and might buy a pup occsionally. Branko krypan is not what has driven the price of registered dogs up but he has taken advantage of breeding some good dogs. The reason registered dogs price tag has gotten outrageous is the hype generated by these field trials . I have run my grade dogs with some of these champions and to be honest (which by the way is also part of the problem)my grade dogs were much better dogs, now there not for sale and there also not worth some of the price tags I see most of the time, but they are RABBIT dogs bred from RABBIT dogs. Now if your looking for hunt I've got a big male, he don't have any papers, he also don't have any hair 2" up his tail, don't run trash, backtrack, hangup, coldtrail, simply put a stone cold RABBIT dog.

Like I said don't read into the question. Just something I've wondered about for a long time.

When looking for an Ali Baba male to line breed to my Ali Baba female I did alot of research and talked to alot of people. There's a few very nice males out there but I finally settled on 1. That doesn't take away from any of the others because we bred for us and what we want, bar none.

As far as Lumberjack off spring being shy? I'm not seeing it and I'm sure if it was a strong trait he threw I'd be seeing it. I have a ton of lumberjack in my kennel and alot of is line bred so I definitely seeing this pop up yet it's not. Alot, to be said for socializing pups and young dogs....

AHHHHHHHH, TEMPER TEMPER Mr. Williams. This is America. When you posted to my post you opened yourself up. Calm down and reread what was written. I never put the dog down. When I hunted with Manny and Denny I told him I thought the dog was a bit rough. He was even rougher as a 2 year old. He is a specialist. Speed ,speed and more speed. He over runs a lot of the tracks. As any one knows you can get away with that in UKC. Did it make Denny mad when I told him that? Yes it did. Do I like the dog? Yea ,I like the dog. He is fun to hunt with when the conditions are good. You are right I don`t know much about dogs. I thought you turned them loose they instantly went into the brush (not running along side of it because that is easier) struck a rabbit giving proper mouth according to the track and you found a good spot to watch for the rabbit to be circled back around to you. To me that is rabbit hunting. If I wanted to walk a 1/2 mile or more to get to dogs I would coon hunt.THis is why it is so much easier to have only females I can pick any male I want to breed to. I don`t lie to myself about my dogs. I am not going to lie about any one elses.I learned a very valuable lesson from the whole experience no matter how big you are in this sport when it comes to breeding it is just like buying a lottery ticket. You just never know if you are going to get a winner. Some times you are better of using your own judgement and if you fail pick up the pieces and move on. To me these dogs really aren`t all that important in the big picture of life. If I made you mad, I really don`t care. Feed what makes you happy . It is your life.
